You know those days where nothing seems to go right at all, where you feel like EVERYTHING is working against you?
(Cue Daniel Powter singing, “So you had a bad day…")
That’s what today’s bite-sized lesson is all about. So what do you say in Italian when you’ve had a bad day?
Here are 6 phrases you can use in conversation (and warning: there are curse words used in this one, so cover the ears of littles ones if they’re nearby!)
È stata una giornataccia a lavoro. - It was a bad day at work.
Hai avuto una brutta giornata? - Did you have a bad day?
Sto vivendo un incubo! - I’m having a sh*tty day.
Questa è veramente una giornata di merda! - This is a real shitty day.
Che giornataccia per te! - What a bad day you’re having!
Non vedo l’ora che finisca questa giornata storta! - I can’t wait until this bad day ends!
Un caro saluto,
Cher
