A cute expression that you can use when you’ve done something silly or foolish is “che sbadato/a!”

Che sbadata! Ho dimenticato il libro che dovevo portarti. Scusami! - How silly! I forgot the book that I was supposed to bring to you. I’m sorry!
Quindi sei andato al mercato ma non hai comprato gli ingredienti di cui abbiamo bisogno per cena stasera. Che sbadato. Mi sa che dobbiamo andare in pizzeria allora. - So, you went to the market but you didn’t buy the ingredients we need for dinner tonight. How careless. I guess we have to go get pizza then.
Che sbadata che sono! - How careless of me!
As far as I can tell, you use this to poke light fun at someone or yourself. It’s not used to be mean or condescending.
