If you want to say:

With the benefit of hindsight
In retrospect
You would say: Con il senno di poi
Ecco tre esempi:
Con il senno di poi, non avrei mangiato così tanto. - In hindsight, I wouldn’t have eaten so much.
Non ci ho pensato sul momento, ma con il senno di poi gli avrei detto la verità. - I didn’t think about it in the moment, but in hindsight I would have told him the truth.
Con il senno di poi, avrei dovuto studiare l’italiano di più quando ho vissuto in Italia. - In retrospect, I would have studied Italian more while I lived in Italy.
