Sto leggendo un libro che si chiama Vegetable Literacy, e sono rimasta sconvolta da quante cose non so sulle verdure. Lo sapevate che ci sono dodici famiglie di verdure e sapere questi legami può rendere più facile cucinare?
Vi faccio un esempio. Quando sai che il cumino e il prezzemolo appartengono alla stessa famiglia, puoi capire perché vanno così bene con le carote.
Ma vi rendete conto?! Ora posso finalmente capire come fanno gli chef a creare piatti deliziosi sul momento.
(Se non avete ancora capito, sono ossessionata dal cibo e dalla cucina, ahah.)
La frase per la nostra lezione di oggi è: Can you believe it?
O, in Italiano, ma ti rendi conto?
It comes from the reflexive verb “rendersi conto” and it’s directly translated as “to realize.”
However, in this sense, it’s understood as the more colloquial: Can you believe it?!
