Ecco cinque modi per usare la preposizione ‘in’ che sono super comuni e utili.

  1. Sono IN ritardo di 5 minuti. - I’m 5 minutes late.

  2. Ero IN anticipo. - I was early.

  3. Sei andato/a IN pensione? - Are you retired?

  4. Ci sono andato/a IN treno. - I went there by train.

  5. Vado IN Italia tra un paio di settimane. - I’m going to Italy in a couple of weeks.

If you’ve been confused about how to use the preposition “in”, I hope these five examples help you start to sort through the mess.

PS. Did you know that “una vera chicca” means a “a true gem” in the sense, like “Questo ristorante è una vera chicca! - This restaurant is a true gem!” I love it. “Chicca” is maybe the cutest word ever.
