Stavo guardando Under the Amalfi Sun su Netflix e ho sentito questa frase:
“Ti vedo un po’ troppo gasato.”
Se non ricordo male, Vincenzo sta per vedere la sua ragazza dopo un anno di distanza. Lei vive in Canada e lui in Italia. Il suo amico gli dice: Ti vedo un po’ troppo gasato.
Significa: You seem a little too excited.
Literally, it means: You seem a little too gassed up / carbonated.
Penso che questo modo di esprimere “excited” è così carino, e ho pensato che vi potrebbe piacere anche a voi.

Non vedo l’ora di… - I can’t wait to..
Sono emozionato/a! - I’m excited.
Siete entusiasti per il vostro viaggio? - Are you all excited about your trip?
Warning: Don’t use the word “eccitato/a” to express excitement over doing something or going somewhere. Eccitato is an adjective that’s used in, um, more scandalous encounters. (Okay, I’ll just say it - sex.)
