Ciao a tutti! Sono curiosa… is there a new word or phrase that you recently learned — even one that you already knew but forgot? For me, that word is ‘singhiozzo’ which means ‘hiccup.’ Leave your word/expression (with the English translation) in the thread below so we can learn from each other!
One of my faves - ghiottone - which means both "glutton" and "wolverine". I was going for the latter and learned that it means the former as well. Fitting if you've ever seen a wolverine defend a carcass!
Rompicoglioni - pain in the ass
Haha love that one!
scarpetta - “little shoe” - slang for the bread used to mop up sauce/gravy in the bottom of one’s bowl
I think of this word every time I do that, haha
In a sentence with "se... o no" the "o no" can be replaced with "o meno" meaning (whether) or not.
example: Non so se verrà con noi al cinema o meno. = I don't know whether he will come with us to the movies or not.
Ooh good one! I didn't know this.
Canta ha fatto l'uovo=
She sings she made the egg.
"The guilty dog barks the loudest"
I've never heard of that one! Love it.

Haha, so specific! I love the way it sounds.
Non e un granché!
It’s no biggie! Not that great …
