VOCABOLARIO

EXPLANATION #1: MAGLIA DA CALCIO

In question 9, you came across “la maglia da calcio” which means “calcio jersey.” 

Mi piace la tua maglia da calcio! Sei una tifosa degli azzurri? - I like your calcio jersey! Are you a fan of the Azzurri? 

So why is the preposition “da” in the middle of the words “jersey” and “calcio”?
