This part specifically is a continuation from section 2: making small talk, which included ten questions and answers + a short dialogue. In this part, you’ll complete exercises related to the content from that section. Buono studio!
COCKTAIL PARTY FACT: WHO IS ANDREA CAMILLERI?
Andrea Camilleri is an Italian author from Sicily, and he’s famous for his mystery novels. He’s well-known for his series Inspector Salvo Montalbano, a detective who is known for being a disruptor with strong views on what’s happening socially and politically in Italy. The books came first, and then the TV show aired on RAI for the first time in 1999.
GRAMMAR NOTE: DON’T DIRECTLY TRANSLATE.
The most important point that I want to bring home in this series is that you can’t directly translate from your native language to Italian and expect to be fluent.
